Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to IT support requests via phone and email
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and software
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and network issues
  • Replace or repair damaged system components
  • Ensure system security (antivirus and firewall setup/upgrades)
  • Support users with desktops, laptops, Macs, tablets, printers, and mobile devices
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation
  • Test new hardware/software before deployment
  • Recommend improvements to enhance service and client satisfaction
  • Accurately log work for ISO and accountability purposes
  • Troubleshoot Windows Server, phones, printers, and mobile devices
  • Support broadband, FTTC/FTTP, and leased line connectivity
  • Handle internal admin tasks (quotations, purchase orders, job sheets)

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (essential)
  • Proficient in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) configuration and support
  • Knowledge of both Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with root cause analysis
  • Virtualisation experience (Hyper-V or similar)
  • Networking: WANs, FTTP, LTE, leased lines, routers
  • Office 365 and Azure (cloud and hybrid environments)
  • Understanding of Office 365 subscriptions and configurations
  • Knowledge of antivirus, ransomware, and EDR solutions
  • DNS, domain, and web hosting experience
  • VoIP system setup and support
  • Familiarity with Cisco and Ubiquiti hardware
  • Comfortable with administrative tasks and internal systems

Desirable Skills

  • CCTV setup and configuration
  • Microsoft or other professional IT certifications
  • Fibre and Cat6 cabling design and installation
