We are seeking a reliable and skilled Assistant Mechanic to join our garage team. This role combines hands-on mechanical work with local vehicle collection and recovery responsibilities. The ideal candidate is technically competent, organised and reliable. Minimum 2 years experience in a mechanical role or similar.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Duties
- Discs and brake pads replacement
- Should be comfortable changing vehicle parts such as drive shafts, wishbones, shock absorbers etc.
- Supporting main mechanic with changing clutches
- Driving Duties
- Vehicle collection and returns to local branches and in central London
- Recovery of vehicles that are undriveable (recovery truck training provided)
Requirements
- Proven experience in a mechanical background
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Good knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostics
- Effective time management and respectful communication
Working Hours
Monday - Saturday 9am - 5pm
