Loaders (Warehouse) - Looking for people for the following shift: 10.00pm to 6.00 am - you may also be asked to do some picking across departments - Bedford Depot

Pay is based upon your productivity utilising a Standard Hour scheme:

90% performance £13.14 per hour

100% performance £14.60 per hour

110% performance £16.79 per hour

120% performance £17.52 per hour

(all inclusive of £1.89ph Night Shift allowance.

This is an exciting opportunity that A.F. Blakemore are recruiting for their brand new, purpose built multi temperature depot in Bedford. We are looking for experienced Loaders within the Warehouse operation, who are motivated, friendly, hard-working and passionate. The purpose of the job is the accurate and efficient loading of products onto company vehicles.

A.F. Blakemore's new Bedford depot is the largest investment made by the family run company. Boasting a size of 160,000sq feet, multi temperature, serving the companies large customer base, built with innovation and the future in mind. The site will have new lithium Ion Fork lift & picking trucks, mixture of Mercedes and Scania HGV’s (Class 1 & 2) to be used by the circa 230 colleagues. Sustainability has always been a focus for the company, and the Bedford depot is no different, solar panels and rainwater harvesting along with supporting staff to enable them to cycle to work.

Some Key Accountabilities

• The accurate loading of customer orders onto company vehicles
• Ensuring that drivers’ run-sheets, documentation and vehicle keys are distributed correctly on completion of loading
• The preparation of vehicles prior to loading

• Numerate and literate
• Experience in warehousing and distribution
• Use own initiative
