We have an exciting opportunity for a Sandwich Artist to work in the SUBWAY department at our THURCROFT SPAR store. The role requires motivation, friendliness, and a hands‑on approach. You will report directly to the Subway Duty Manager and provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers, preparing sandwiches according to their orders, and maintaining the bar with a tidy and well‑stocked environment.
Minimum working hours: 8 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours. Various shifts available between 9:00 am and 7:15 pm.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain options to Subway customers accurately.
- Neatly prepare sandwiches according to customer orders.
- Re‑stock sandwich ingredients to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
- Use the till to record the order, take the payment, and give correct change where necessary.
- Understand and adhere to all Subway, SPAR and company operating processes, policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards when storing, preparing, serving food and cleaning the department.
- Previous experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferred.
- Some understanding of health and food safety legislative responsibilities in a food environment.
- Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving business at SPAR Thurcroft.
- Keen and enthusiastic approach to working both in a team and independently.
