We have an exciting opportunity for a SPAR Customer Team Member at SPAR Holmewood. You will support the store management team and create a positive customer experience, contributing to continuous improvement and ensuring great service across our Food To Go, Moments of Wow, Food for later, and Food for now programs.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Answer customer inquiries about products and services and assist customers in finding the items they need.
- Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately through the tills, maintaining a positive and friendly service.
- Upsell selected products and highlight multi‑buy offers to maximize sales.
Store Operations
- Work stock—check deliveries, stock shelves, maintain a clean and organized sales floor, rotate stock to ensure freshness and timely expiration dates.
- Complete additional assigned tasks such as date checking, stock and gap checking, price changes, promotional displays, and other duties as required.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and processes.
Key Skills / Knowledge
- Previous experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferred.
- Reliable follow‑through of instructions and procedures with excellent attention to detail.
- Some understanding of legislative responsibilities in a retail environment and the skills to assist with adherence.
- Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving the business forward.
- Experience with a ‘Challenge 25’ policy desirable.
- Keen and enthusiastic approach to working both in a team and independently.
- Previous cash handling experience is preferred but not essential.
