We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Architect to provide strategic technical leadership across core business systems and digital transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising enterprise-wide technology solutions that support business growth, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Acting as the link between technical delivery and business strategy, you will lead the evolution of critical business platforms, system integrations, and emerging technologies while ensuring technology solutions align with organisational objectives.

  • Lead the architecture, administration, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise business systems, including ERP platforms.
  • Standardise and improve business processes through system optimisation and automation.
  • Oversee Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions to ensure reliable, automated data exchange with key business partners and support future supply chain connectivity.

Digital Innovation & Business Transformation

  • Partner with business leaders to translate operational challenges into effective technology solutions.
  • Drive the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), including Generative AI and Agentic AI, to improve manufacturing, supply chain, and business operations.

Project Delivery & Technical Leadership

  • Design future operating models to support the successful implementation of new technologies.
  • Provide third-line technical support and act as an escalation point for complex system issues.
  • Mentor and support IT, Systems, and Process teams, promoting knowledge sharing and best practice.
  • Participate in an on-call support rota to ensure business-critical systems remain operational.
  • Ensure all solutions comply with data security, GDPR, governance, and disaster recovery requirements.
  • Work closely with technology suppliers and implementation partners to deliver projects while maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.

Strong knowledge of ERP platforms, API development, systems integration, and business process automation. Experience managing EDI solutions and integrating business-critical applications. Knowledge of cloud technologies, AI solutions, barcode/QR technologies, and digital transformation initiatives. Experience leading technical projects from design through to implementation. You will lead strategic transformation projects, influence business-wide technology decisions, and work with modern platforms and emerging technologies in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
