A Senior Site Engineer is required for a six-month fixed-term contract within the Northern Home Counties business unit, working with a Tier 1 Contractor. The role will support delivery on two major schemes initially before moving onto one project. This is a site-based position suited to an engineer with strong technical capability and experience in complex structures, including CAT 3 basement works.

The Senior Site Engineer will support the Project Team with day-to-day engineering duties and ensure all works are delivered in line with client requirements. Responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting drawings and specifications
  • Checking setting out
  • Monitoring retained structures
  • Managing deep excavations
  • Overseeing cut and fill modelling
  • Stabilisation checks
  • Piling tolerance recording
  • Inspections of reinforced concrete elements

The Senior Site Engineer will provide technical information to support commercial review of subcontractor analysis, report any survey deviations to the Project or Contracts Manager and maintain all required systems and procedures. The position requires strong awareness of health and safety standards, accurate record keeping and proactive engagement with the changing status of the project. The Senior Site Engineer will also support method statement approval, compliance monitoring and provide technical advice to the wider team.

  • Experience delivering complex structural works
  • Experience of a CAT 3 basement build
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques and sequencing
  • Experience working on large scale schemes
