A.D.S Construction Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 contractor for an experienced Senior Document Controller to support two major healthcare schemes in the Northern Home Counties region, including a £250m project. The role is project-based with flexibility for occasional remote working.

The Role

The Senior Document Controller will take responsibility for setting up, managing and maintaining project information systems across major schemes. The position involves close coordination with design teams, consultants and subcontractors to ensure all documentation is accurate, compliant and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and manage project document control systems
  • Quality check naming conventions and metadata
  • Liaise with design consultants and subcontractors to resolve workflow issues
  • Provide first line training and support on the CDE
  • Coordinate document flow, technical submissions, drawings and correspondence
  • Maintain accurate registers, distribution lists and audit ready records
  • Support O and M collation and as-built information
  • Produce progress reports and support project teams with information queries
  • Attend live sites to undertake progress photos
  • Archive, retrieve and store documentation in line with standards
  • Act as the focal point for all document management matters

Experience Required

  • Strong background as a Senior Document Controller within a Tier 1 environment
  • Experience using Viewpoint 4P and Aconex
  • Confident setting up and managing document control systems on major projects
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Excellent accuracy, record keeping and data management capability
