Job Description SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR \n £60,000 £80,000 + Car Allowance \n Full Time | 37.5 hours per week within a 7.30 am 5.30 pm working window (Most office-based staff work 8.30 am 5.00 pm, with site teams starting and finishing earlier) \n Benefits \n Car allowance and mileage rate \n 33 days holiday including bank holidays \n Contributory pension \n Non-contributory life cover \n About the Client \n Our client is a long-established, family-owned construction business with over 150 years of history, delivering high-quality projects across commercial, education, industrial, heritage, blue light and leisure sectors. They operate across the Home Counties, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire and North London, delivering projects through two divisions: n They are now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis. \n Working closely with project management teams, the role oversees day-to-day quantity surveying and commercial management on projects up to £15m. Responsibilities include managing commercial functions, subcontract procurement, change control (upstream and downstream) and producing monthly CVR reports. \n Manage contract sums, cost plans and monthly cost reconciliation/CVR reporting \n Review contract provisions, client procedures and procurement strategies \n Oversee subcontract procurement: prepare enquiries, analyse returns and negotiate packages \n Manage monthly client applications, certifications and subcontractor payments \n Control change management: variations, instructions, pricing and value recovery \n Monitor programmes, delays and disruption for future recovery \n Ensure all contractual notices are issued correctly and on time \n Manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle \n Conclude all commercial duties through to final account \n Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors \n Skills & Experience \n Experience running projects as the commercial lead \n Experience procuring subcontractors \n Experience managing multiple subcontract accounts simultaneously \n Working knowledge of JCT/NEC forms of contract \n Experience producing monthly cost reporting/CVRs \n Qualifications & Requirements \n In-date CSCS card supported by a recognised qualification (NVQ, HNC/HND, degree or equivalent) \n HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or a commercially related discipline \n Minimum 5 years experience with a contractor \n Competent using Microsoft Office \n Security, Vetting & Right to Work \n Must have full right to work in the UK \n Must have been continuously resident in the UK for the past 5 years to meet client vetting requirements \n Must be willing to undertake DBS, BPSS or client-led security checks where required \n Must be willing to discuss any matters relevant to vetting as part of the process \n Must be able to maintain the vetting standards required for regulated sites \n Salary & Package £60,000 £80,000 depending on experience Car allowance \n \n JBRP1_UKTJ
