Are you an Assistant Estimator looking for progression, with a flexible company, working within a supportive team?

A well established brickwork subcontractor, part of a successful group of companies, has an opportunity for an Assistant Estimator due to growth.

Working in partnership with leading main contractors, they are known for their expertise in masonry, brickwork, blockwork and stonework.

Their projects are mainly high-rise residential schemes, build-to-rent accommodation, hospitals, education, and defence.

As a group their turnover is approaching £50m, and they turnover £16m independently, with a 5 years plan in place to get up to £20m.

The role - Assistant Estimator

Office / home based. The successful candidate will work under the Managing Estimator, assisting on a variety of projects with the country’s major main contractors.

Average scheme size £500k - £3m.

You will initially be working on Bills Of Quantities.

The right person:

  • You will be a self motivated person, who can manage your own time.
  • C in Math's & English.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • You will ideally have some understanding of brickwork.
  • You will either be working as an Assistant Estimator, or you could be a Bricklayer, Assistant Site Manager, or Assistant Quantity Surveyor, looking to move into an Estimating role.
  • You will ideally be able to read and interpret drawings.
