The Role: Estimator
They are seeking a skilled and detail-driven Estimator to join their team within the physical-security manufacturing sector. You will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates, analysing project requirements and supporting the sales team with competitive pricing proposals.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for specialist security products and installation services
- Review tender documents and specifications to determine pricing
- Calculate material, labour and subcontractor costs
- Source and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Assess risks and ensure compliance with UK security standards
- Maintain organised records of estimates and bid submissions
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Project Management and Production teams
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years experience in an Estimator role (All construction backgrounds considered: subcontracting, contracting, manufacturing, roofing, M&E, flooring)
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software is beneficial
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
