The Role:
The company is recruiting an experienced Senior Estimator to manage a team of three Estimators. This role suits someone confident leading people, improving processes and helping shape a growing department. The focus is on accuracy, consistency and developing a streamlined estimating function that supports long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of three Estimators
- Oversee all estimating activity across specialist security products and installation services
- Review tender documents, drawings and specifications
- Produce and approve detailed cost estimates and pricing schedules
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across all submissions
- Develop and improve estimating processes and departmental structure
- Work closely with Sales, Project Management and Production teams
- Support senior management with planning and departmental development
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experienced Estimator with a strong background in construction
- All construction sectors considered including subcontracting, contracting, manufacturing, roofing, M and E, flooring
- Proven management or team-lead experience
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with estimation software such as Bluebeam or PlanSwift and confident using Excel
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software is beneficial
- Organised, proactive and able to support continuous improvement
