A long-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor in Hertfordshire is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team. The company delivers a wide range of civils and groundworks projects across the region and is known for strong safety standards, reliable project delivery and long-term client relationships. The role is based in Hemel Hempstead with travel to sites within approximately a 1.5-hour radius.

This position involves full commercial responsibility for three to four live projects, supporting wider commercial activity across the business and contributing to tendering and estimating. The successful candidate will also oversee and support an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

  • Assisting with tendering and estimating
  • Providing guidance and oversight to an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
  • Producing accurate documentation using Excel and Bluebeam
Requirements
  • Minimum seven years of experience in Quantity Surveying
  • Strong background in civils and groundworks rather than housebuilding groundworks
  • Proficient in Excel and Bluebeam
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites within the region
