The Company

Our client has traditional contracting roots, now turning over in excess of £40m a year comprised of affordable housing, commercial, industrial and private developments. Work is largely social housing residential ranging from £4-15m. They have their own workforce of almost 50 tradespeople, ensuring the highest levels of quality and consistency across every project. This family-run contractor has been founded for over 45 years and is now being run by the 3rd generation. They have a very low staff turnover; the longest serving Site Manager has been there for 40 years, resulting in a happy and motivated workforce. They have smart, modern offices in a rural location.

The Role

You will be office based with site visits; sites are within 1.5 hours of their office. You will be joining a commercial team of 10 led by an Associate Director, working on projects ranging from around £4m-£15m, mostly social housing contracts under JCT D&B.

Responsibilities and Requirements

The right person – Quantity Surveyor:

  • You will be qualified to HNC level with housing experience or main contracting experience.
  • You will have a minimum of 2 years experience, and will be an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or a Quantity Surveyor.
  • You will ideally have contracting experience.
