Job Description QUALIFIED CARPENTER \n £38,000 – £42,000 + Van & Fuel Card \n Full Time | 7.30am – 5.30pm | Site Based (Luton) \n Benefits \n • Company van with fuel card for business mileage \n • 33 days holiday including bank holidays \n • All uniform and PPE provided \n • Contributory pension \n • Non-contributory life cover \n • Training and development opportunities \n • Free on-site parking \n • Hybrid working opportunities where required \n • Continued professional development through structured learning programmes \n About the Client \n Our client is a long-established, family-owned construction business with over 150 years of history, delivering high-quality projects across commercial, education, industrial, heritage, blue light and leisure sectors. \n They operate across the Home Counties, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire and North London, delivering projects through two divisions: Small Works & Frameworks (up to £1m) and Main Contracts (up to £15m). \n They are now looking to appoint a Qualified Carpenter within their Small Works & Frameworks division, delivering projects up to £1m across frameworks and public sector contracts. The role requires experience across varied project types and refurbishment works, strong technical capability, commercial awareness and the ability to work effectively within a close-knit team. \n Key Responsibilities \n • Carry out first and second fix carpentry and joinery to a high standard across varied project types \n • Work safely and in line with site health and safety requirements at all times \n • Liaise with the Working Foreman/Site Manager regarding progress and materials \n • Maintain high standards of workmanship and take pride in the finished product \n • Work flexibly as part of a close-knit site team \n Skills & Experience \n • Experience across all project types and general refurbishment works \n • Strong technical capability and commercial awareness \n • Highly motivated and a strong team player \n Qualifications & Requirements \n • In-date CSCS card supported by a recognised qualification (NVQ, HNC/HND, degree or equivalent) \n • Full UK driving licence \n • SSSTS • First Aid at Work \n • Required to wear company-issued uniform and PPE on site \n Security, Vetting & Right to Work \n • Must have full right to work in the UK \n • Must have been continuously resident in the UK for the past 5 years to meet client vetting requirements \n • Must be willing to undertake DBS, BPSS or client-led security checks where required \n • Must be willing to discuss any matters relevant to vetting as part of the process \n • Must be able to maintain the vetting standards required for regulated sites \n Salary & Package £38,000 – £42,000 depending on experience Company van + fuel card \n \n JBRP1_UKTJ
