A permanent position for a Quantity Surveyor based in Northampton, with office work and site visits. The salary ranges from £45,000 to £60,000, plus a car or a £660 monthly car allowance and a discretionary bonus. Employees receive 23 days of holiday, increasing annually to 28 days, in addition to bank holidays. There is also a buy and sell holiday scheme and a pension plan.

This role supports projects across the South Midlands and is part of a strong management team with many long-serving employees who have progressed internally from trainee level.
The Role:
- Working within the commercial team to support the delivery of civil engineering and residential groundworks projects.
- Providing technical advice on drawings and ensuring correct project documentation.
- Managing commercial aspects of assigned projects to maximise value.
- Completing commercial accountabilities accurately and on time.
- Analysing rates and prices and agreeing variations or compensation events.
- Identifying potential debt risks and negotiating financial reconciliation.
- Supporting the safety team in applying safety policy and addressing concerns.
- Building strong client relationships.
- Allocating work to subcontractors and assisting with procurement.
Requirements:
- GCSEs AC / 59 including Maths and English.
- Experienced Quantity Surveyor with residential groundworks experience.
- Good understanding of construction contractual terms.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Confident in analysing data and producing cost value reports.
