They are recruiting an experienced Roofing Estimator with experience in costing and estimating roof repairs, roof leak investigation, maintenance and full refurbishment projects. The position requires strong client engagement, site surveys, interpreting drawings, creating technical specifications, working with suppliers, engaging with subcontractors and costing a wide variety of roofing projects. Experience supporting faade refurbishment projects would be beneficial depending on background. This is an opportunity to join a specialist, growing roofing contractor where the Estimator plays a direct role in winning and delivering projects. Be a key contributor with estimates that directly support business growth and project success Varied workload across reactive works, planned maintenance and larger refurbishment projects Work with experienced teams across commercial, operational and specialist functions Development and progression with ongoing training to grow technical and commercial capability Quality focused culture with strong attention to detail and commercial integrity This is a key position within the commercial team, responsible for managing the estimating process from initial enquiry through to submission, supporting both existing clients and new business opportunities. The Estimator will Review enquiries, drawings and specifications to define scope, risks and opportunities Carry out site surveys to inform methodology, scope and pricing Prepare detailed and commercially sound estimates including labour, materials and subcontractor packages Identify value engineering opportunities to improve competitiveness while maintaining quality Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical input Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate costing on more complex or integrated projects Track pipeline activity, win rates and performance to support commercial reporting This role suits an individual who enjoys combining technical understanding with commercial awareness and who takes pride in producing accurate, well considered estimates. Experience in estimating within roofing, construction, facades or building maintenance Strong understanding of roofing systems, repairs and refurbishment works Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and survey data Experience preparing detailed cost plans including labour, materials and subcontractor elements Strong commercial awareness including pricing strategy, margin and risk Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical and commercial information clearly The successful candidate will be organised, curious and motivated to continuously improve accuracy, efficiency and commercial performance. This position suits someone with experience in roofing estimating, roof repairs, roof refurbishment, leak investigation, planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, building fabric, facades, construction estimating, cost planning, take offs, BOQ, commercial roofing, industrial roofing and general building maintenance. Strong understanding of roofing systems, refurbishment methods, labour and material costing, subcontractor pricing and technical surveys is valuable.
