Location: Bedford

Salary: Up to ÂŁ38,000 per annum

The Role: Estimator

They are seeking a skilled and detail‑driven Estimator to join their team within the physical‑security manufacturing sector. You will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates, analysing project requirements and supporting the sales team with competitive pricing proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for specialist security products and installation services
  • Review tender documents and specifications to determine pricing
  • Calculate material, labour and subcontractor costs
  • Source and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Assess risks and ensure compliance with UK security standards
  • Maintain organised records of estimates and bid submissions
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Project Management and Production teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Estimator role (All construction backgrounds considered: subcontracting, contracting, manufacturing, roofing, M&E, flooring)
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software is beneficial
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
