With a strong pipeline of projects and a commitment to design excellence, they are now seeking a motivated Trainee Design Manager to join their growing team.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a school leaver with A Level qualifications to launch a career in construction design management. The successful candidate will support the coordination of architectural and engineering design across multiple housing developments, working closely with external consultants and internal teams. The role includes a day release to study for a BSc in Architectural Technology, fully funded by our client.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the design process from planning through to construction
- Coordinate and liaise with external consultants (architects, engineers, planning consultants)
- Support the review of drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Attend and minute design team meetings
- Track design deliverables and ensure timely submissions
- Assist with planning applications, building regulations, and technical approvals
- Maintain design documentation and registers
- Learn to identify design risks and support mitigation strategies
- Shadow experienced Design Managers and gain hands‐on project exposure
Training & Development
- Day release to attend university and study for a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Technology
- Mentorship from experienced Design and Technical Managers
- Structured learning and development plan
- Clear progression pathway into a Design Manager role upon graduation
Candidate Profile
- A Level qualified
- Keen interest in architecture, construction, and residential development
- Strong communication and organisational skills

- Full UK driving licence (or working towards it) preferred
