A specialist subcontractor delivering government projects is seeking an experienced Freelance Contracts Manager to oversee installation teams and manage on‑site operations across multiple live sites. The role suits someone with strong construction management, installation management and multi‑site project experience, working between home, office and site twice a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage installation teams, site managers and on‑site operations across multiple projects.
  • Coordinate installation works, ensuring quality, safety and compliance.
  • Programme works, plan labour and manage installation schedules.
  • Arrange and sign off installations, ensuring correct delivery.
  • Ensure RAMS are completed and followed.
  • Act as the main contact for the principal contractor on site.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and project compliance.
  • Support reporting and progress tracking on projects up to £2m.
  • Work across multi‑site construction and installation programmes.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced Contracts Manager with subcontractor or main contractor background.
  • Strong installation management and site management experience.
  • Knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts.
  • Confident managing multiple sites.
  • Able to work independently across home, office and site environments.
