We’re working with a well‑established Bedfordshire‑based contractor known for delivering high‑quality commercial, public sector and mixed‑use refurbishment schemes across the Midlands and Home Counties. The Project
You will be site‑based in central Birmingham, leading building services delivery on a £18–19m commercial refurbishment and extension. The project includes full cut‑and‑carve works, Grade A office reconfiguration, retained heritage façades, a new fifth‑floor extension, a roof terrace, and full MEP upgrades. This is a technically demanding scheme combining retained structures with new‑build elements.
This is a site‑based Building Services Manager position with full responsibility for MEP delivery from design through to commissioning, working closely with consultants, subcontractors and the main construction team.
- Lead and manage all MEP design, coordination and installation on site
- Manage building services input across design, procurement and construction
- Manage MEP subcontractors, scopes and design responsibility
- Ensure services integrate with structural alterations and new build works
- Oversee quality, testing and commissioning
Requirements:
- Experienced Building Services Manager or Senior MEP Manager
- Background with a main contractor or major MEP subcontractor
- Proven experience delivering complex refurbishment or cut‑and‑carve projects
- Strong understanding of MEP design, coordination and commissioning
- Experience on commercial and heritage‑influenced schemes
- HNC, HND or Degree in Building Services Engineering or similar
