The Role: Quantity Surveyor
A hands‑on, varied role suited to someone confident managing commercial duties within a specialist construction and manufacturing environment. Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of quantity surveying functions, contract administration and commercial reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts
- Lead valuations, payment applications and variations
- Manage contract administration in line with JCT/NEC contracts
- Support tendering and procurement activities
- Produce commercial reports and maintain accurate project records
- Provide wider commercial support to the Commercial Manager as required
The Right Person
- Minimum 1 year post‑qualification experience in Quantity Surveying
- HNC or above in Construction (ideally a degree in Quantity Surveying)
- Confident preparing applications for payment and managing valuations
- Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Willing to undergo security clearance
