Manage and coordinate all aspects of the M&E design from tender through to completion. Manage mechanical, electrical and specialist subcontractors, staying closely involved in day-to-day site delivery. Set and maintain high standards of health and safety, quality, compliance and communication. Organise and attend programme meetings to protect the build programme and resolve issues early. Make sure all building services meet Building Control requirements and are ready for handover. Liaise regularly with the clients consultants throughout construction and commissioning. Coordinate system demonstrations with the clients consultants. Ensure drawings, operation and maintenance information and handover records are completed on time. Provide technical support to the project team and specialist contractors. Commissioning and aftercare
Produce commissionability and design reviews. Carry out installation inspections, report findings and communicate actions to the wider team. Review draft and final test packs, specialist commissioning work packages and test reports before client issue. Attend commissioning and project meetings. Coordinate communication between the commissioning specialists and project team. After completion, arrange regular meetings with the client and facilities team so outstanding issues are dealt with promptly. What were looking for
Experience managing mechanical and electrical building services on live construction projects. A strong understanding of M&E design coordination, installation, commissioning and handover. Experience managing M&E subcontractors, specialist contractors and consultants. Confident programme management, technical problem-solving and client communication skills. Knowledge of compliance, Building Control and operation and maintenance information.
