Assistant Estimator – Derby\\n\\nAre you an Assistant Estimator looking for progression, with a flexible company, working within a supportive team?\\n\\nA well established brickwork subcontractor, part of a successful group of companies, has an opportunity for an Assistant Estimator due to growth.\\n\\nWorking in partnership with leading main contractors, they are known for their expertise in masonry, brickwork, blockwork and stonework.\\n\\nTheir projects are mainly high-rise residential schemes, build-to-rent accommodation, hospitals, education, and defence.\\n\\nAs a group their turnover is approaching £50m, and they turnover £16m independently, with a 5 years plan in place to get up to £20m\\n\\nWhy work for them?\\n\\nThey are living their core values – Trust, Respect, Integrity & Passion.\\n\\nThey are a happy team, with a no blame culture, who support each other and work together to get the job done.\\n\\nOur client offers a flexible working environment and benefits include:\\n\\n * Hybrid working – 2 days from home.\\n\\n * Working hours of 8-4.30 with the flexibility to work till 5 and finish 2 hours early on a Friday.\\n\\n * Car allowance 5000\\n\\n * 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, plus additional days for Christmas shut down.\\n\\n * Pension 3% employer, 5% employee.\\n\\n * Death In Service – 2 years salary\\n\\n * Private medical cover\\n\\n * Bonus scheme.\\n\\n * Progression within the Group\\n\\n * Support\\n\\nThe role – Assistant Estimator\\n\\nOffice / home based, the successful candidate will work under the Managing Estimator, assisting on a variety of projects with the country’s major main contractors.\\n\\nAverage scheme size £500k – £3m\\n\\nYou will initially be working on Bills Of Quantities\\n\\nThe right person:\\n\\n * You will be a self motivated person, who can manage your own time.\\n\\n * C in Math's & English\\n\\n * Strong Excel skills\\n\\n * You will ideally have some understanding of brickwork.\\n\\n * You will either be working as an Assistant Estimator, or you could be a Bricklayer, Assistant Site Manager, or Assistant Quantity Surveyor, looking to move into an Estimating role.\\n\\n * You will ideally be able to read and interpret drawings\\n\\nIf you are interested this role, either call, or apply on line.\\n\\nAssistant Estimator / Estimating / brickwork / Derby
