We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled Garment Technician to join a well-established, trend-led fashion supplier specializing in both Menswear and Womenswear. The role covers a broad range of products including tailoring, shirts, and outerwear.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review fit comments and size specifications with precision, ensuring all related documentation is accurately updated. Attention to detail is essential.
- Communicate garment amendments clearly to factory pattern cutters.
- Collaborate with overseas factories to maintain and improve production standards, requiring a solid understanding of garment manufacturing processes.
- Track and manage sample progress, ensuring timely dispatch and review in line with the Critical Path (CP).
- Prepare detailed production packs and associated documents, strictly adhering to deadlines set by the critical path schedule.
- Work closely with the Design and Sales teams to ensure all customer fits and specifications are correctly implemented.
- Participate in fit meetings as needed.
- Accurately process and record all fit amendments and related data.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience within the UK garment industry.
- Tailoring experience is highly desirable.
- Prior experience visiting and working with Far East factories is an advantage.
- Highly accurate, methodical, and detail-oriented—both in garment measuring and record keeping.
- Enthusiastic and confident team player.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Capable of working efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
