About the Role

We’re looking for a Junior Kitchen Manager. Reporting to the Senior Kitchen Manager, you will support the running of the kitchen and lead a team of up to 40. You will ensure guests remain the central focus of all operational decisions, including resource planning, recruitment and selection. You will monitor exceptional service regularly, develop action plans, and focus on continuous improvement. Financial performance is essential: you will deliver food cost budgets through menu planning, cooking to standards and specification. You will support accountability of food hygiene standards and health and safety in line with legislation and company policies. You will be a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, ensuring training schedules and performance‑development plans are in place for the team and inspiring them to deliver a great experience to guests every time. In this role you’ll lead and develop the skills of a team in our main buffet restaurant serving guests with a half‑board dining package.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
  • Experience in a similar level role and the ability to lead a team to deliver high standards in a fast‑paced, busy kitchen environment.
  • Confidence in financial management, margin control and cost control.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and hygiene standards.
