A Class Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated female Live-In Care Assistants to support clients in their own homes in the Ipswich, Suffolk area. This role involves providing high-quality, person-centred care while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. Due to the specific personal care needs and expressed preferences of our clients, this position is open to female applicants only in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
  • Assist with mobility and transfers
  • Support with medication management
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding if required
  • Carry out light household duties (cleaning, laundry, shopping)
  • Offer companionship and emotional support
  • Monitor and report any changes in the client’s condition
  • Maintain accurate daily records

Requirements

  • Previous experience in care (preferred but not essential as training can be provided)
  • Must be female due to client requirements
  • Must be registered on the DBS Update Service (essential)
  • A caring, patient, and reliable nature
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to different client needs
