Caroline Cares For You has a long-standing reputation for delivering exceptional domiciliary and live-in care.
We currently provide around 500 hours of care per week, supporting people to remain independent in their own homes through high-quality visiting care and live-in care services.
Following our recent CQC inspection, we have developed a comprehensive and ambitious action plan to strengthen our service and return the branch to the Outstanding standard we know it is capable of achieving again.
We are now looking for an exceptional, experienced Locum Branch Manager to join us on a 3-month fixed-term contract.
This is an opportunity for a highly motivated leader who enjoys making a real difference, driving service improvements, supporting teams and embedding sustainable, high-quality practices.
Working alongside our senior leadership team, you will play a key role in implementing our improvement plan, supporting our staff and ensuring we continue to deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the day-to-day operational management of a busy domiciliary and live-in care service delivering approximately 500 care hours per week.
- Work collaboratively with senior management to implement and embed our CQC improvement action plan.
- Drive improvements in quality, governance, compliance and operational performance.
- Coach, mentor and develop the branch team to build confidence, accountability and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure safe staffing, effective rota management and excellent continuity of care.
- Complete audits, spot checks, care reviews and quality monitoring activities, ensuring actions are completed promptly.
- Build positive relationships with clients, families, local professionals and commissioners.
- Ensure compliance with CQC Regulations, safeguarding legislation and company policies.
- Support recruitment, induction, supervision and performance management of staff.
- Prepare the branch for future regulatory engagement by embedding robust governance processes and best practice.
About You
We're looking for someone who has
Essential
- Significant management experience within a CQC-regulated domiciliary care service.
- A strong track record of successfully improving service quality and compliance.
- Experience managing services through CQC inspections and implementing action plans.
- Excellent knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and regulatory requirements.
- Outstanding leadership and people management skills.
- Experience managing both visiting care and/or live-in care services.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Experience supporting services to achieve Good or Outstanding CQC ratings.
- Knowledge of electronic care planning and rostering systems.
