Support Workers BASED: Winskill, Langwathby, Penrith
16 hours and 2 sleeping nights a week
Salary: £14 per hour (depending on experience)
We are recruiting a part-time support worker to assist one of our clients with Acquired Brain Injury. You will be required to work with our 68-year-old client who requires support to keep him focussed on daily living tasks, including prompting to take medication and some assistance with personal care. This post would suit an active lover of the outdoors as he previously enjoyed the outdoors and was very active. You will assist our client to access the community, engage in activities of interest to him and be an integral part of his rehabilitation. Someone who is passionate about rehabilitation and reaching goals would be ideal for this role.
Key skills, knowledge and experience:
- You should have previous experience of working in the Health Sector.
- UK Driving licence and familiarity with driving a Wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV).
- You should be trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g. completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course).
