The Company: We are a growing mechanical contracting company with a strong and expanding pipeline of maintenance works. With new business already secured, we are creating a dedicated role for a Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Admin who can take ownership of our maintenance operations from day one. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who understands maintenance workflows, can manage clients and suppliers independently, and wants a clear pathway to become our Maintenance Manager.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Managing all incoming maintenance enquiries and assessing them independently.
  • Using Joblogic (software to log jobs, track progress, and manage workflows). We can consider applicants with knowledge of other software, but they need to get on their boots within 03 months of time with Joblogic as we run this platform.
  • Obtaining quotes from suppliers and specialist subcontractors, comparing options, and preparing clear, professional proposals.
  • Submitting proposals for director approval and issuing them to clients.
  • Following up with clients to secure approvals and maintain strong relationships.
  • Handling all call‑outs via phone and email, ensuring prompt response and accurate logging.
  • Scheduling and coordinating site teams to attend call‑outs and planned works.
  • Ensuring all jobs are closed out properly with reports, photos, and documentation.
  • Liaising with the accounts team to ensure all completed works are invoiced without delay.
  • Producing reports, daily/weekly updates to director and keeping all records on demand.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in maintenance coordination, FM administration, or engineering support.
  • Strong working knowledge of Joblogic, or any similar maintenance management software.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Confident communicator who can deal with clients, suppliers, and engineers professionally.
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of the maintenance workflow.
  • Mechanical/HVAC background is an advantage but not essential if you understand maintenance processes.

This is a full‑time, office‑based role in UB10 8HB (Uxbridge) with on‑demand site visits. Candidates must be based in London or within 15 minutes of London. Proof of full working rights in the UK to be provided prior to joining.

What You’ll Get in Return:

  • A competitive salary of £45-50k (negotiable for good fit), 20 days paid holidays plus statutory holidays and Christmas break, paid company expenses, support towards appropriate certifications & professional development.
  • Full autonomy from the director — we are results‑driven, not attendance‑driven.
  • A role created due to real business demand, not a replacement position.
  • Small team, so no hassles on hierarchy or promotion ladders as you will be leading all the works.
  • A clear progression path to Maintenance Manager, leading the maintenance division as it grows.
  • Opportunity to shape processes, improve systems, and build a department around you.
  • A supportive environment where your initiative and ideas are valued.

Why This Role Matters:

Our maintenance division is expanding rapidly, and we need someone who can take ownership, bring structure, and ensure clients receive a professional, responsive service. If you’re someone who thrives when trusted with responsibility, this is your chance to step into a role with genuine long‑term potential.

If you think you would be a good fit, please submit your CV and we will get back to you.
