A C Goatham is one of the UK's leading apple growers and suppliers, committed to delivering high-quality top fruit to customers across the country. We are looking for reliable and hardworking Packhouse Operatives to join our team and support our busy packing operations.

As a Packhouse Operative, you will play an important role in ensuring our fruit is packed, checked, and prepared to the highest standards before being dispatched to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sorting and grading apples and other produce to quality standards.
  • Packing fruit into trays, punnets, and cartons.
  • Conducting visual quality checks and reporting any issues.
  • Labelling and preparing products for distribution.
  • Handling and moving bushel boxes, crates, and other produce containers as required.
  • Lifting, lowering, and carrying items weighing up to 18kg.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Following food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Working efficiently as part of a team to meet production targets.
  • Supporting other packhouse activities as required.

Working Hours

45 hours per week, 5 days per week on any day between Monday and Sunday. Working hours may be scheduled between 07.30 and 24.00. Overtime may be available during peak production periods.
