bout the Role A C Goatham is one of the UK's leading apple growers and suppliers, delivering high-quality top fruit to customers across the country.
We are looking for a reliable and organised Dispatch Operative to join our team and play a key role in ensuring customer orders are accurately prepared and dispatched on time.
Working within a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for preparing shipments, moving stock using pallet trucks, and supporting the efficient operation of our dispatch department.
Key Responsibilities Picking and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
Loading and unloading products safely and efficiently.
Operating manual and/or electric pallet trucks to move stock throughout the warehouse and dispatch areas.
Ensuring orders are accurately checked against dispatch documentation.
Wrapping, labelling, and securing pallets ready for transport.
Assisting with stock movements and storage.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
Following all health and safety, food safety, and company procedures.
Supporting other warehouse and operational activities as required.
What We're Looking For Previous experience in a warehouse, dispatch, logistics, or manufacturing environment is desirable.
Experience using pallet trucks is advantageous.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
Flexible approach to work and working hours when required.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer 45 hours per week across 5 days Core working hours 07.30-17.30 with flexibility required between 07.00 and 24.00 Up to £14.07 per hour dependant on experience.
Overtime at time and a quarter after 45 hours.
