We are looking for a skilled and motivated electrically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Team. This role offers excellent exposure to automated production systems, fault finding and continuous improvement projects within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across site equipment and machinery
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
  • Working closely with production teams to plan maintenance activities and minimise operational disruption
  • Assisting with equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning projects
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems
  • Managing critical spare parts inventory and sourcing replacement components when required
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and health and safety legislation
  • Supporting root cause analysis and implementing long-term corrective actions following equipment failures

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer or Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing, production, food processing or similar environment
  • Strong electrical engineering background with mechanical maintenance capability
  • Recognised engineering qualification such as: Electrical Apprenticeship, City & Guilds ONC/HNC, NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, Equivalent engineering qualification
  • PLC fault finding and diagnostic experience
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments

Desirable:

  • Experience working within food manufacturing, fresh produce, packaging or automated production environments
  • Continuous improvement experience

Working Hours

The role operates on a rotating shift basis, primarily covering: 07:00 - 21:00 shifts may be required during quieter operational periods.

Salary

£57,750 per annum
