About the role
We're looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at our Kelleythorpe site, building high-quality modules and assemblies for our range of print finishing equipment.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll work from mechanical engineering drawings to accurately build and assemble components and modules to the required specification.
Working as part of the wider production team, you'll play an important role in maintaining quality standards and ensuring assemblies are completed in line with production requirements and deadlines.
Key responsibilities
- Build and assemble mechanical modules and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Accurately interpret and work from mechanical engineering drawings.
- Ensure assemblies are completed accurately and to the required quality standards.
- Identify and resolve mechanical fitting and assembly issues as they arise.
- Carry out work in a methodical and organised manner, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Work closely with colleagues across the production team to achieve production schedules and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow all Company health, safety and quality procedures.
About you
You'll be a practical, hands-on individual with a strong mechanical background and a genuine focus on producing high-quality work.
You'll be comfortable working from engineering drawings, have a methodical approach to mechanical assembly and take pride in getting the job right.
You'll have
- Previous mechanical fitting, mechanical assembly or similar hands-on engineering experience.
- The ability to confidently read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings.
- Strong practical mechanical skills and a good understanding of mechanical assembly.
- A methodical approach to fault finding and problem solving.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- The ability to work effectively to production schedules and deadlines.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
