About 9fin: 9fin is the AI platform powering global debt markets — the world’s largest asset class at over $145 trillion. Debt markets are vast, global, and mission-critical, yet still run on fragmented data, PDFs, and manual workflows. 9fin replaces this broken infrastructure with a single platform that centralises proprietary credit data, deep analysis, and high-value workflows across global markets. Today, 9fin powers teams at 300+ blue-chip institutions worldwide, including global banks, asset managers, private equity firms, law firms, and advisors. The business is scaling at exceptional speed, with rapid expansion in the US and best-in-class retention driven by deep workflow adoption.
We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager to drive execution across some of 9fin’s most critical platform and product initiatives. You’ll work at the intersection of Engineering, Product, and Data, ensuring complex, cross-functional programs are delivered efficiently and at high quality. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, brings structure to ambiguity, and can partner deeply with technical teams to drive outcomes.
What you’ll do:
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programs across platform, data, and product initiatives.
- Translate product and business goals into clear execution plans with defined milestones, owners, and success metrics.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Data, and Design teams to align priorities and drive execution.
- Drive planning and roadmap alignment, ensuring dependencies are identified and managed proactively.
- Identify risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate effectively when needed.
- Bring clarity and structure to ambiguous problem spaces, enabling teams to move quickly and confidently.
- Manage day-to-day program execution, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality expectations are met.
- Track and communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.
- Help define and improve processes that increase engineering and product delivery velocity.
- Support large-scale initiatives such as API development, migrations, and system modernisation.
- Drive alignment across multiple teams working on shared systems.
- Ensure programs are aligned with broader company priorities and strategic goals.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience as a Technical Program Manager in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional technical programs end-to-end.
- Ability to work closely with engineering teams and understand technical concepts (e.g., APIs, distributed systems, data pipelines).
- Experience working on platform, data, or infrastructure-heavy initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without authority.
- Excellent communication able to clearly articulate plans, risks, and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly organised with strong execution and prioritisation skills.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and bringing structure where needed.
Nice to have:
- Experience working on data-intensive products or financial/data platforms.
- Exposure to system migrations, platform modernisation, or scaling challenges.
- Familiarity with entity mapping, data modelling, or API-driven systems.
Why this role:
- High impact across core platform and product initiatives.
- Opportunity to work closely with senior engineering and product leadership.
- Play a key role in improving execution, velocity, and cross-team alignment.
- Operate in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
Company Benefits:
- Competitive Salary (our salary bands are benchmarked at the top end of the market).
- Pension (your minimum contributions are 4% with 9fin matching up to 7%).
- Private Medical Insurance.
- Paid sick leave with Income Protection for long periods of illness.
- Group Life Assurance.
- Season Ticket Loan & Cycle to Work schemes.
- 25 holiday days per year.
- Local public holidays (with the ability to exchange them for alternative days).
- Hybrid working model, to allow you the flexibility to decide how, where and when you do your best work.
- Work abroad for up to 3 months a year.
- 1 month paid sabbatical after 5 years of service.
- Enhanced parental leave & flexible working arrangements available.
- Professional learning and development budget.
- Quarterly team socials.
- Summer and Winter company social events.
