About 9fin

9fin is the AI platform powering global debt markets — the world’s largest asset class at over $145 trillion. Debt markets are vast, global, and mission‑critical, yet still run on fragmented data, PDFs, and manual workflows. 9fin replaces this broken infrastructure with a single platform that centralises proprietary credit data, deep analysis, and high‑value workflows across global markets. Today, 9fin powers teams at 300+ blue‑chip institutions worldwide, including global banks, asset managers, private equity firms, law firms, and advisors. The business is scaling at exceptional speed, with rapid expansion in the US and best‑in‑class retention driven by deep workflow adoption. We’re at a defining inflection point. With proven product‑market fit and strong, global market pull, 9fin is accelerating toward becoming the category‑defining platform for debt markets worldwide.

What You'll Work On

  • Edit and publish breaking news, analytical features, and long‑form research across 9fin's full coverage universe — including Asset‑Based Finance, Distressed Debt, Leveraged Finance, Investment Grade, CLOs, and Private Credit — to the highest editorial standard.
  • Work at pace alongside reporters, analysts, and legal staff to copy‑edit, fact‑check, and prepare complex financial stories for publication, ensuring accuracy on numbers, names, deal structures, and legal terminology.
  • Own the end‑to‑end publication workflow for assigned content — from intake and editing through to final sign‑off — managing multiple pieces simultaneously against tight, market‑driven deadlines.
  • Apply and enforce 9fin's house style across all content types, maintaining consistency in tone, terminology, and structure while preserving the author's analytical voice.
  • Review and refine AI‑assisted drafts and editorial outputs, ensuring they meet the same standard as human‑authored content before publication.
  • Collaborate with senior editors and team leads to develop and refine internal style guides, editing workflows, and quality benchmarks as 9fin's editorial function scales.
  • Flag and resolve issues involving complex financial terminology, documentation references, and market‑specific language across all asset classes covered by 9fin.
  • Carefully manage 9fin output to ensure a coherent and consistent voice across our verticals, and be responsible for quality control regarding sourcing and accuracy.

About You

This role will be a great fit if you:

  • Have at least 2–4 years of experience in a sub‑editing, copy‑editing, or editorial production role, ideally at a financial news organisation, data provider, or specialist B2B publication.
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of leveraged finance, credit markets, and structured products — you are comfortable with terms like PIK toggle, cov‑lite, waterfall, and NAV facility without needing them explained.
  • Are a fast, meticulous editor who can process high volumes of technically complex content under deadline pressure without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Have an instinctive feel for house style, grammatical precision, and the difference between an author's voice worth preserving and a mistake worth correcting.
  • Are comfortable working across a broad range of asset classes — from distressed and restructuring to IG, CLOs, ABF, and private credit — and willing to build expertise across all of them.
  • Thrive in a fast‑moving, editorial environment and are energised by the challenge of making complex financial analysis accessible, accurate, and publication‑ready at speed.
