Today, 9fin powers teams at 300+ blue‑chip institutions worldwide, including global banks, asset managers, private equity firms, law firms, and advisors. The business is scaling at exceptional speed, with rapid expansion in the US and best‑in‑class retention driven by deep workflow adoption. We’re at a defining inflection point. With proven product‑market fit and strong, global market pull, 9fin is accelerating toward becoming the category‑defining platform for debt markets worldwide.

The Opportunity

9fin is seeking a reporter to join our European team covering the distressed debt and restructuring market. We’re looking for a scoop‑driven journalist who will relish the opportunity to delve into all of the fascinating stories of restructuring and distressed companies across the UK and Europe. If you can follow this fast‑paced market while maintaining best‑in‑class editorial standards and collaborating with our team of reporters, analysts, and lawyers, we want to work with you.

  • Generating ideas — You’ll provide a consistent stream of new ideas, whether that’s identifying new situations to cover, or thinking up new ways to cover them.
  • Monitoring markets — You’ll learn to harness our technology to identify new opportunities, ensuring that 9fin’s coverage of the distressed market is timely and comprehensive.

  • Driven — Endlessly curious, self‑motivated, and passionate about doing a good job.
  • Fluent in German or French would be an added plus.
