About the role We are seeking a dedicated Data Operations Associate to join our team in Belfast.

  • What you’ll do
  • Employ internal software tools to extract financial data from various documents related to companies monitored by 9fin.
  • Oversee financial reporting for a vast number of companies, swiftly pinpointing essential metrics from earnings announcements.
  • Use advanced technology to validate financial tables, ensuring the highest level of data accuracy.
  • Integrate newly acquired financial figures with existing datasets to maintain an up-to-date overview of a company's financial status.
  • Create and manage capital structure tables that facilitate comprehensive financial analysis.
  • Standardize financial terminology to guarantee consistent and comparable data across our platform.
  • Engage in new initiatives related to restructuring, private credit, and other data-focused projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance data processing workflows and improve overall efficiency.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for process enhancements based on data trends and observations.
  • Assist in the training of new team members on data operations procedures and tools.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure our data operations remain competitive and effective.

Requirements

  • Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
  • A genuine desire to learn and acquire new skills in data operations.
  • Previous experience with financial data is advantageous, though a strong aptitude for learning can also be considered, particularly for candidates with backgrounds in accounting, auditing, or finance.
