9B is working with a well-established, small architectural consultancy to appoint an Architectural Technologist or Technician with strong technical capability and excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations. This is a replacement role within a close-knit team, offering the opportunity to take on a hands-on position with immediate responsibility and consistent project involvement.

With over 25 years in operation, the practice has built a strong reputation in the private residential sector, delivering well-designed, practical solutions with a high planning success rate. The team is small (currently around 3 staff), creating a collaborative and supportive environment where individuals play a key role across all stages of projects. Projects are typically locally based and commutable, with a mix of residential and smaller commercial schemes.
The Role
This is a technical delivery-focused role, suited to someone confident working independently and producing accurate, compliant drawing packages. You will be involved across multiple projects, with a strong emphasis on building regulations, detailing, and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD on a daily basis
- Prepare and submit Building Regulations packages
- Work across primarily residential projects, with some small commercial schemes

Requirements
- Proven experience as an Architectural Technologist or Technician
