9B Careers is working with a small, seven-person architectural and interiors practice in NW3, specialising in high-end residential projects. They are looking to appoint a Project Manager in a newly created role, designed to take responsibility for the administration, coordination and project management currently being handled by the architects and senior team. This is an important role in helping the practice improve systems, communication and project delivery as it grows its design-and-build offering.
The Role
- Coordinate projects across the practice from inception through to completion
- Take responsibility for project administration, procurement and contractual documentation
- Support financial administration, budgets and project reporting
- Coordinate communication between clients, architects, consultants, contractors and suppliers
- Introduce and improve project management systems and processes
- Help establish more efficient ways of working across the studio
- Support the delivery of an increasing number of design-and-build projects
- Work with the practice's embedded AI developer to develop systems and tools that improve project management and communication
About You
- Proven project management experience, ideally within architecture, construction, development or a related environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and competing priorities
- Good understanding of procurement, contracts and project administration
- Commercially aware with strong attention to detail
- Able to introduce structure and systems into a growing business
- Confident working with architects, clients, contractors and consultants
- An Architect moving into project management would be considered, provided you are genuinely looking to focus on project management rather than design
The role would suit someone who enjoys bringing structure, organisation and efficiency to projects and wants to have a tangible impact on how a small practice operates. The initial expectation is to work from the NW3 studio five days a week while becoming embedded in the team, with flexibility developing longer term. Working hours can also be adapted around commitments where required. Salary dependent on experience and scope of the role, with the practice open to discussing a package that reflects the level of responsibility and experience.
