Our central London client is a small, very design‑led practice working across residential, heritage and mixed‑use projects at a range of scales. They are currently seeking a design‑focused Part 2 Assistant that is passionate about architecture as a craft, and who enjoys developing ideas through drawing, modelling and making. This role is central to the creative output of the studio.

The role

  • Supporting project teams across RIBA Stages 0–2, with exposure to later stages where appropriate
  • Producing high‑quality drawings, models and visuals to support design development
  • Assisting with feasibilities, pre‑applications and planning submissions
  • Creating clear and compelling presentation material for clients and local authorities
  • Contributing to in‑house visualisation and image production across the studio
  • Assisting with drawing packages and technical coordination where appropriate
  • Working collaboratively while developing increasing autonomy and confidence

About you

  • Part II qualified, with at least 1–2 years’ experience in practice
  • Experience working in a small or medium‑sized, design‑focused studio
  • A strong, well‑curated portfolio demonstrating design thinking, clarity and craft
  • Strong visual and graphic sensibility, with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident in architectural drawing, 3D modelling and visualisation
  • Comfortable producing presentation material and imagery to a high standard
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable working across multiple projects
  • Some technical and construction experience would be beneficial

Software & BIM

  • As a minimum, decent experience using Revit is required
  • Day‑to‑day work will initially be undertaken in MicroStation, with training and support provided
  • You will contribute to the practice’s planned transition to Revit in Q1/Q2 2026, working alongside senior staff and an external BIM consultant
  • Proficiency in SketchUp, V‑Ray and Adobe Creative Suite is essential
