A small and expanding practice based on the Hertfordshire/Essex border isworking on residential projects ranging from extensions to new-builddwellings, conversions and larger housing developments. They are seeking an ambitious Senior Architect/Architectural Technologist to join them and hopefully take a senior role within the business. Candidates will need the following skills and experience:
- at least 10 years’ experience
- ideally be ARB registered but not essential
- have good understanding of design constraints within various areas / boroughs
- have strong client facing skills
- good knowledge of construction and be able to draw technical drawings and detailed building regulation drawings when necessary
- have strong knowledge of Contract Administration and be comfortable in dealing with projects on site, site visits, checking quotations, dealing with builders and sub-contractors
- have good presentation skillsto clients / planners and other consultants
- have an understanding how the business works financially and meeting deadlines
- must be able to useAUTOCAD, excel, word, sketchup, photoshop
