Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division is looking for an Associate to join our Technology team in London.
About the Team
The Technology Banking team focuses on domestic and international/cross‑border transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, recapitalisations, spin‑offs, exchange offers, equity & debt capital market transactions, leveraged buyouts and takeover defences as well as shareholder relations. Associates will typically work on a variety of transactions and take on significant responsibility for delivering specific elements. They will be involved with a wide range of industrial organisations, from small entrepreneurial technology players to large scale industrial conglomerates, and will collaborate with senior professionals to go beyond the numbers and think creatively.
Responsibilities
- Creating and analysing financial models with a high degree of granularity.
- Gathering market data to analyse trends and help value companies and transactions.
- Creating, drafting, and taking ownership of presentations and memoranda for a wider audience both internally within the firm as well as externally.
- Contributing to team discussions and client meetings.
- Helping to manage and assist in the execution of corporate finance transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a leading university.
- Relevant investment banking (corporate finance/M&A) experience or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and modelling skills.
- Knowledge of accounting and financial concepts.
- Results‑driven team player who performs well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills; additional languages are helpful but not required.
- Commitment to excellence and maintenance of high professional and ethical standards.
