Overview
Co-Founder & Director | Finance & Operations Search Partner to Alternative Investment Funds globally. This is an opportunity to join a leading high-performing private debt & alternatives platform. The role offers exposure across fund accounting, investor reporting, valuations, and fund operations, with the chance to work closely with deal teams, tax specialists, investor relations, and senior leadership. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end fund finance responsibilities, with oversight of administrators and visibility to GP Boards and the Valuation Committee. This is a high-profile, commercially visible role for an ambitious accountant with experience in debt, private markets, or fund administration.
What you’ll do and how you’ll impact the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee quarterly and annual investor, financial, and regulatory reporting, manage the audit process, and ensure reporting accuracy.
- Manage administrators and ensure SLAs/KPIs are met, with oversight of financial statements, valuations, and fund cash/liquidity.
- Collaborate with deal operations, tax teams, and advisors to manage capital flows, bridge facilities, treasury positions, and investor notices.
- Present valuation insights to the Valuation Committee and GP Boards, ensuring investor reporting reflects fund performance accurately.
- Perform ongoing and ad hoc analysis of fund performance (IRR, carried interest, waterfalls, and investor track record metrics).
- Ensure compliance with LPAs and side letters, responding to investor and internal queries with accuracy and clarity.
- Contribute to fund-raising processes for new strategies, process improvements, and the implementation of new systems.
- Support group reporting requirements, including management fees and AUM/FUM reporting.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent) with a strong technical foundation.
- At least 5 years’ experience in fund finance, administration, private debt, private equity, leveraged finance, or asset management.
- Deep knowledge of fund financials, reporting frameworks, and regulatory reporting (AIFMD, Solvency II).
- Strong Excel skills and analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret complex fund structures and performance metrics.
- A collaborative team player with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach.
- Experience with private debt funds or debt instruments.
- Technical knowledge of IFRS and Lux GAAP.
- Strong understanding of carried interest structures and fund waterfalls.
