911 Staffing are recruiting for a Warehouse Assistant on a permanent basis in the Swindon area. As a key member of the warehouse team, you will play an essential role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage and distribution of book donations that make a meaningful impact worldwide.

About the role:

  • Monday to Friday - No weekends!
  • Working hours are 8am-4pm (37.5 hours paid per week)
  • Swindon based (close to the town centre & accessible by public transport)
  • Permanent role
  • Salary is £24,800 - £26,000 per annum, depending on MHE experience

The Warehouse Assistant role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Support the receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of books
  • Work with other team members to achieve book donation targets
  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness and safety of the working environment by following health and safety practices
  • Operate MHE - Forklift Truck(s)
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Requirements for the Warehouse Assistant role:

  • Have previous experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Have a collaborative approach to support a positive team environment to enable book donation targets and other KPIs to be met
  • Have a full understanding of workplace safety regulations and a proactive approach to ensuring a safe and clean working environment for all team members
  • Have the physical ability to carry out duties that involve lifting and bending, and possess a clear understanding of manual handling principles and best practices
  • Be familiar using Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) with strong attention to detail
  • Experienced and licensed to operate MHE (Forklift) - Highly desirable
