About the Stock Control Team Leader role:
- Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
- Salary is £33K per annum
- Permanent role to start May 2026
- Based in Swindon (SN5)
Key Responsibilities for the Stock Control Team Leader role:
- Ensure all stock levels are accurate through cycle counts, audits, and root-cause investigations
- Lead daily/weekly cycle counting routines and manage variance reporting
- Proactively identify stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of stock adjustments in WMS/ERP systems
- Oversee goods-in and goods-out accuracy checks
- Lead, coach, and develop the Stock Control team to deliver consistent performance
- Manage daily workloads, allocate tasks, and ensure adherence to deadlines
- Review stock-related KPIs and implement process improvements
- Work closely with Warehouse, Goods In, Goods Out, and Operations teams to resolve stock issues quickly
- Support preparation for internal and external audits
- Generate, analyse, and present stock reports to management
Experience / Skills required for the Stock Control Team Leader role:
- Previous experience in stock control or inventory roles (2+ years desirable)
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and stock control processes
- Experience using WMS/ERP systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a small team
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
