We are recruiting for HGV 1 Drivers for a fixed shift across Wednesday to Saturday (Guaranteed Shifts). This position offers Temp to Perm opportunities. If you are not looking for fixed shifts then don't worry as we can always accommodate Drivers on an ad-hoc, full / part time, weekend only basis.
About the HGV 1 Driver Role:
- Working days are Wednesday - Saturday (potential for additional shifts)
- Start times between 3am-5am
- Guaranteed work / Temp to Perm opportunities
- Pay Rates are £19.23ph (Weekdays), £24.04ph (Saturday), £28.85ph (Sunday / BH)
Duties for the HGV 1 Driver Role:
- Delivering chilled Ambient and frozen foods across the South West
- Store deliveries 2/3 drops per day
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards
- Secure cargo properly using appropriate methods and equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and health and safety regulations during operations
Skills / Experience required for HGV 1 Driver Role:
- Minimum 1-year proven experience driving HGV 1 vehicles
- Full valid CE Licence, Digi Card & Drivers CPC Card
- Maximum 6 points for minor offences (No DR's, DD's etc)
- Excellent organisational skills to manage schedules efficiently
- Ability to operate vehicles safely under various weather conditions
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
