Our client is seeking a Transport Office Administrator for their Night Shift based in Stratton.
About the Transport Administrator role:
- Working hours are Monday to Friday, 10pm-6am
- Salary is £13.50 per hour (37.5 hours per week)
- Based in SN3 area of Swindon
- Temporary to Permanent role
Daily duties for the Transport Administrator will include:
- Debriefing drivers
- Using a TMS system to advise drivers of start times for following day
- Defect reporting
- Contacting agencies to cover Driver absence
- Shuffling routes to avoid lateness due to absence
- Data entry inputting
- Deal with Driver issues/Vehicle Breakdowns
- Send comms out to customers for failed deliveries
- Complete a handover for the rest of the team
Experience / Skills required for the Transport Administrator role:
- Good IT knowledge, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook etc
- Ability to work independently, with little / no supervision
- Be able to co-ordinate a variety of tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- The ability to establish good working relationships with management, drivers & suppliers
- General transport knowledge would be an advantage
