About the HGV 1 Driver role

  • Various Shifts available including full time, part time, weekends, ad-hoc days - Just let us know what you are looking for!!
  • Work available across 7 days, with start various start times from 3am
  • Pay Rates
  • £22ph - Mon to Fri, between 06:00 - 22:00
  • £24ph - Mon to Fri, between 22:00 - 06:00
  • £30ph - Saturday, between 00:00 - 23:59
  • £34ph - Sunday & Bank Holidays, between 00:00 - 23:59
  • If you are looking for full time work we can guarantee 5 shifts per week (subject to signing up to a weekly shift pattern). Duties for the HGV 1 Driver Role:
  • Delivering chilled, ambient and frozen foods across the South West
  • Store deliveries 2/3 drops per day
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards
  • Secure cargo properly using appropriate methods and equipment
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
  • Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and health and safety regulations during operations Skills / Experience required for HGV 1 Driver Role:
  • Minimum 6 months experience but will accept newly qualified drivers for temp to perm positions
  • Full valid CE Licence, Digi Card & Drivers CPC Card
  • Maximum 6 points for minor offences (No DR's, DD's etc)
  • A goood understanding of Driver's Hours & Working Time Directive
  • Ability to operate vehicles safely under various weather conditions
