We are currently recruiting for HGV 1 Drivers for an immediate start. About the HGV 1 Driver Role:
- 5 on 3 off shifts.
- Max 10-12 hour shifts
- Start times between 00.00 to 04.00
- Bank Holiday paid time and half.
- Ongoing work with temp to permanent contract
- Approx 2-3 drops to retail stores.
- Will acccept newly qualified drivers for the 00.00 shift (training provided) Duties for the HGV 1 Driver Role:
- Operate HGV 1 vehicle in accordance with all road safety and traffic regulations
- Conduct pre-journey checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Deliver goods to various locations efficiently and punctually, adhering to scheduled routes and deadlines
- Secure loads appropriately to prevent movement during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during routes Experience / Qualifications required for the HGV 1 Driver role:
- Valid LGV 1 (C+E) licence + Driver CPC Card & Digi Card
- Minimum 1 years HGV 1 driving experience
- Will accept newly qualified drivers for the 00.00 shift
- Maximum 6 points for minor offences (No DR's, DD's etc)
- Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
- Experience in delivery driving with a focus on timely and secure deliveries
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively during routes
