We are currently recruiting for HGV 1 Drivers for an immediate start. About the HGV 1 Driver Role:

  • 5 on 3 off shifts.
  • Max 10-12 hour shifts
  • Start times between 00.00 to 04.00
  • Bank Holiday paid time and half.
  • Ongoing work with temp to permanent contract
  • Approx 2-3 drops to retail stores.
  • Will acccept newly qualified drivers for the 00.00 shift (training provided) Duties for the HGV 1 Driver Role:
  • Operate HGV 1 vehicle in accordance with all road safety and traffic regulations
  • Conduct pre-journey checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
  • Deliver goods to various locations efficiently and punctually, adhering to scheduled routes and deadlines
  • Secure loads appropriately to prevent movement during transit
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during routes Experience / Qualifications required for the HGV 1 Driver role:
  • Valid LGV 1 (C+E) licence + Driver CPC Card & Digi Card
  • Minimum 1 years HGV 1 driving experience
  • Will accept newly qualified drivers for the 00.00 shift
  • Maximum 6 points for minor offences (No DR's, DD's etc)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
  • Experience in delivery driving with a focus on timely and secure deliveries
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively during routes
